Collection contains scrapbooks; minutes; reports; ledger books; ordinance books; contracts; deeds; bills of sale; building permits; certificates of deposit; panoramic and aerial photographs; and filmstrips and sound recordings. The bulk of the collection comprises scrapbooks, containing newspaper articles about the company (1894-1972). Also included are records of Toledo Edison's predecessors--the Toledo Traction Company and Toledo Railway & Light Company.

Toledo's utility company originated with the Toledo Brush Electric & Power Company in 1881.
